Privacy Policy

This policy describes how Rpute collects, uses, and shares information when you use rpute.com. Rpute is a service for anonymous professional feedback between people who have worked together.

We collect information you give us and information generated by using the service:

• Account details, such as your name and email address.
• Profile details you provide, such as a company, title, or professional profile URL.
• Reviews you write, including the working relationship you describe.
• Reviews written about you, and messages we send about those reviews.
• Search queries you enter when looking up a person.
• Basic technical data, such as browser type, approximate location derived from an IP address, and pages requested.

We use this information to:

• Create and secure your account.
• Deliver reviews and related email.
• Show feedback without naming the reviewer.
• Operate search, moderation, and abuse prevention.
• Understand how the service is used and improve it.

A review is displayed without the reviewer's name. Rpute still stores which account submitted a review so the service can function, enforce its terms, and respond to abuse or legal process. Do not include information in a review that would identify you if you want to remain unknown to the subject.

We do not sell personal information. We share information with service providers that host the product, send email, or help us operate search, and only as needed for those tasks. We may also share information if the law requires it, or to protect Rpute, our users, or others.

Reviews are shown to the person they are about, without the reviewer's identity. Aggregated feedback may be shown once enough reviews exist that a single reviewer is not singled out.

We use cookies and similar storage to keep you signed in and to remember short-lived session state. You can block cookies in your browser. Parts of the service that require a session will not work if you do.

We keep account and review information for as long as your account is active and as needed to operate the service, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations. We may keep a review after an account is closed when the review is still part of someone else's record.

You may ask to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you by emailing privacy@rpute.com. We may need to confirm that the request comes from you. Some information may remain where the law allows us to keep it, or where deleting it would break a review that belongs in another person's record.

Rpute is not directed at anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

We may update this policy. The date at the top of this page will change when we do. Continued use of Rpute after an update means you accept the updated policy.
